All through my growing up years, I was this sporty person, always up for any outdoor activity be it running, cycling, swimming or even baseball.
I was the one you could count on if you were a player short for any team sport.
Fast forward a few years and…life happened.
Post marriage, post having my angelic daughter Amy, I got caught in the daily routine of work and family as many of us do.
That’s when personal fitness took a back seat and I simply allowed the pounds to pile on.
I’d always been what you could call “okay looking”.
Sure, I could get by on my outgoing personality….
.....but when I looked in the mirror, I started feeling a twinge of shame.
So much so that I actually started avoiding looking at myself naked in the mirror.
I was literally hiding from my own body!
I consulted various doctors and a highly rated dietician, even joined the local gym and spent a fortune on a personal trainer all to get me back on track.
